Audience granted by the Minister of Basic Education on Friday 10th May 2024 to a UNICEF team led by its representative in Cameroon, Nadine Perrault

The Minister of Basic Education, Professor Laurent Serge ETOUNDI NGOA received in audience on Friday 10th May 2024, a UNICEF team led by its Representative in Cameroon, Nadine Perrault.
This meeting allowed the UNICEF Representative to reiterate UNICEF's interest in supporting Cameroon in the implementation of the Education Sector Plan.
A point of view supported by Sharmila Pilai, head of the Education section who highlighted the areas on which they will continue to emphasize, in particular teacher training, digitalization of teaching, improvement of the quality of the environment school, etc.
This approach, it should be noted, is part of lobbying by the United Nations agency which wishes to be retained as the coordinating agency in the execution of the priority reform of Basic Education.
The Minister of Basic Education, for his part, wanted to reassure his guests that, each application will be examined with transparency.
